People's Choice

In order to vote you need to provide a valid email address, and only one vote per email address is possible. If after voting the first time, you decide to vote for another image, the first image you voted for will lose that vote.

The "People's Choice" is a section apart from the rest of the contest and the votes will not influence the judges. A photographer would seek votes in order to win the "People's Choice" section alone. The winners for the other categories will be determined by the judges.

This tool is shapeable, and adaptive to its circumstances. Its bellows will bend with the winding branches before it. It is simple, and it is strong. It's large glass glows beneath the dark cloth with the sceneries I capture. By using this tool, I feel a strong connection to the beginnings of photography. Pressing the shutter creates a portal which opens and closes with each frame. My camera becomes a bridge through time, and I take in what must have been the feelings those of the amazing photographers who came before me. Recently, I have been inspired by my job as a Park Ranger. It has driven me to begin documenting the Rangers and landscapes in which they work. By continuing to use the paper negative process, the images created are a direct reflection of the delicate experience between the subject and camera. Black and white tones melt together to reveal my subject, as it gradually comes to light.
